Wai Kru Ceremony at Wat Bang Phra, Nakhon Pathom
Sometimes referred to as the Magic Tattoo Festival, thousands of people travel to Wat Bang Phra to recharge their sacred sak yant tattoos. The temple is located to the west of Bangkok.

Changing Costume of the Emerald Buddha, Bangkok
In this traditional royal ceremony to mark the changing of the seasons, HM the King changes the costume of the Emerald Buddha from winter attire to summer. The most important Buddha image in Thailand is housed at Wat Phra Kaeo, part of the Grand Palace complex in Bangkok.

Ayutthaya World Heritage Fair
Organised to celebrate the historical significance of the ancient Thai capital of Ayutthaya. Thai and foreign tourists attending the event are encouraged to wear traditional Thai clothing. Highlights of the event include a grand opening procession and a light and sound presentation at Wat Maha That.

Trat Marathon
The small city of Trat on Thailand’s East Coast hosts a range of running events spanning distances that range from 5k to the full marathon.

Rayong Kite Festival
Held at Lam Mae Pim Beach in the East Coast province of Rayong. Visitors can witness hundreds of colourful kites being flown by experts from around the world. Fun for all the family, learn how to make a kite and discover the history of kites in Thailand.
