Chiang Mai Flower Festival
One of the most colourful events in Thailand’s festival calendar takes place in Chiang Mai in early February. The Chiang Mai Flower Festival features parades, street markets, music concerts, and a dazzling array of floral displays.
Makha Bucha Day (public holiday)
An important day in the Buddhist calendar and a public holiday in Thailand. Makha Bucha Day commemorates the event where 1,250 of the Buddha’s disciples spontaneously gathered to hear him preach.
