Are you travelling to Hua Hin and looking to try a unique experience? Sea-Cret Cruises may just be the answer. Run by a mother-daughter team, Ying and Ramona, the Hua Hin-based business organises cruises in the Gulf of Thailand on board a traditional wooden boat. In this interview with Fan Club Thailand, Ying and Ramona explain more about their cruises and their top tips for visitors to Thailand.

Please tell us more about yourselves and Sea-Cret Cruises
We are a mother-and-daughter team with a shared love for the sea and coastal life. Sea-Cret Cruises began as a simple dream with just one boat and a passion to share the natural beauty of Hua Hin and Pak Nam Pran with others. Today, it has grown into a boutique marina offering unique river and sea cruises, both group and private. We focus on comfort, safety, and meaningful experiences. Every trip we offer is designed to help people slow down, connect with nature, and create special memories on the water.
How do you find working together as a mother-daughter team?
It’s a gift. We bring different strengths to the table; one of us has experience and calm, the other has youthful energy and fresh ideas. Of course, we’re family, so we have our moments! But ultimately, we support each other and share the same heart for the business. Working side by side makes our journey even more fulfilling.

Which is your personal favourite cruise you offer and why?
Our sunset sea cruise is definitely our favourite. There’s something magical about watching the sky turn gold and pink as you sail across the open sea. It’s peaceful and beautiful, and our guests often tell us it’s their most relaxing moment in Hua Hin. It’s hard not to fall in love with the ocean all over again every time.
In addition to your scheduled trips, you also offer private cruises. What has been the most memorable private trip you’ve hosted?
One of the most memorable and meaningful private cruises we’ve ever had the honour to host was when a member of the Thai royal family — a princess — joined us on board. It was a deeply respectful and unforgettable moment for us as a mother-and-daughter team, and our whole crew as well. Her Royal Highness has since returned several times, and each visit reminds us how privileged we are to do what we love.
What is your top tip for a first-time visitor to Hua Hin?
Take time to explore beyond the main tourist spots. Hua Hin’s real beauty is in its peaceful rhythm. Visit the mangroves at Pranburi Forest Park, enjoy a boat cruise, or simply wander the fishing villages. Let the sea breeze slow you down and show you the local charm.
Top tip for a first-time visitor to Thailand?|
Come with an open heart. Thailand is full of surprises, with stunning nature, rich culture, and incredibly warm people. Learn a few Thai words, try street food, be respectful, and most of all, enjoy the journey. A genuine smile here can take you further than you think.
